EaglePicher Technologies Awarded Contract from ATK Launch Systems to Install a Battery Energy Storage System
Joplin, Mo., February 6, 2013 – EaglePicher Technologies, LLC, a leading battery producer for the defense, aerospace, medical, and commercial industries, announced today that it has been selected by ATK Launch Systems, a subsidiary of Alliant Techsystems Inc. (ATK), to design and construct a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at a Utah facility. ATK, the world’s top producer of solid rocket propulsion systems and a leading supplier of aircraft structures, will utilize EPT’s PowerPyramid™ technology to provide peak-shaving energy solutions with a 300kW/1.2MWh system at its 20,000-acre manufacturing site in Promontory, Utah.

Vancouver Employees Vote Union Free
Joplin, MO, August 18, 2011
EaglePicher Technologies, LLC announced that union employees represented by the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada), Local 114 have voted unanimously to decertify the union for represented employees at EaglePicher’s Energy Products business in Vancouver, British Columbia. The British Columbia Labour Relations Board issued the cancelation order and notified the company of the decision.

Successfully launched from the Spaceport’s ELA-3 launch zone in French Guiana at 6:51 p.m. on October 28, 2010, BSAT-3b will supply high-definition (HD) direct broadcast services throughout Japan.
