Abstract for “Specific Heat Measurements on Binary and Ternary Thermal Battery Electrolyte Powders”

Thermal battery electrolytes bound with magnesium oxide and containing two or three halide salt constituents were characterized. Laser flash analysis was used to determine the specific heat of these materials as a function of temperature. Equations for the specific heat as a function of temperature both below and above the melting temperature of the multi-component salts are presented.
