Abstract “Thermophysical Properties of Thermal Battery Lithium Alloys”

Results are presented for thermophysical property measurements of thermal battery lithium alloys. Anode materials were characterized with a laser flash analyzer to measure thermal diffusivity, specific heat, and thermal conductivity. Comparison between measurements and literature data show that reliance upon published values for modeling efforts may incur errors. Equations are presented for the various properties as a function of temperature.
